Reduced Staffing Next Week

Due to Thanksgiving week, we will have reduced staffing next week, especially on Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday.

Holiday Safety Tips from the LADWP

As we enter the holiday season, the LAPD sends warm wishes and a reminder to stay safe:

Protect Your Vehicle:

• Always lock your car and secure valuables out of sight.
• Hide items in the trunk, glove box, or compartments—never leave electronics, chargers, or bags visible.
• Remember: docking stations, GPS units, and chargers are common targets.

While Shopping:

• Avoid carrying large amounts of cash.
• Park in well-lit, non-remote areas.
• Stay aware of your surroundings when returning to your vehicle.
• Ask store security for an escort if something feels off.
• Have your keys ready before you reach your car.

At Home:

• Ensure holiday lights and tree setups are safe and secure.

General Safety

Drive carefully—holiday traffic and impaired drivers increase risks.

If you see suspicious activity, report it at alertcommunity.com (non-emergency).

12/11 Luma 2025 Holiday Party- Save the date!

Holiday Fund for Staff 2025

The Luma Board of Directors is offering residents the opportunity to participate in a voluntary Holiday Fund to show collective appreciation for staff members, with proceeds distributed based on length of employment. Please note that the General Manager will not be a recipient of the Holiday Fund. Residents may contribute any desired amount either by check, made payable to Luma HOA, or by charging their HOA account through an email to Adrian Guzman at aguzman@actionlife.com. All donations will remain confidential, and residents are also welcome to express their gratitude individually if they prefer.

Holiday Packages

With the holiday season bringing an increase in deliveries, we kindly ask that you pick up your packages as soon as they arrive. Space is limited, and we’re unable to store items for long periods or hold bulk deliveries.

If you need help, our team can bring packages to your unit. If you’ll be away, we can place them inside your home—just email us temporary access instructions.

SPNA presents South Park Winter Craft Market

South Park Winter Craft Market, a European-style Holiday Market, returns for a second year on Friday, December 6 from 5-10 pm at Audio Graph Beer Co’s outdoor space on Olive and 12th Streets. Admission is free. All are welcome!

Come for the crafts and homemade goods, smells of food and international awarded-winning beer, holiday spirits with trees, lights, even a bit of snow (not the real kind), and lots of people strolling among the vendors buying gifts and decorations for the holidays.

Proper Drain and Garbage Disposal Usage

To keep our plumbing systems functioning properly, please review the attached garbage disposal / drain guidelines. Only water, soap, and human waste should go down the drains—never food, grease, or items like “flushable” wipes and/or paper towels. Food waste should be scraped into the compost or trash, leaving only small particles for the garbage disposal. Additionally, please never use Draino or similar products, as they can cause clogs and corrode pipes. Your cooperation is vital to maintaining our community’s plumbing system.

13th Annual Turkey Trot LA benefiting the Midnight Mission

Thanksgiving Day Thursday, November 28th
