Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) – LUMA Water Shutdown 10/14

Posted By on October 10, 2025

This coming Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a building-wide shutdown of all water in LUMA. No water will be available in the building during this time.

This shutdown is being requested by LADWP so they can perform a recalibration of the building’s water supply meter. LADWP has requested a two-hour shutdown to complete this work.

It is very important that you do not use any water during this period. Using water during the shutdown can begin to empty the building’s water lines and introduce air into the system.

When air enters the building’s water system, it can cause major issues with hot and cold-water distribution throughout the building. It may take several days for the water supply to become balanced again.

With the help of the LUMA community, we can avoid major disruptions and ensure the smooth and consistent delivery of water once the work is completed.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
