Fire Life Safety Training 7/8/2025 & Fire Drill 7/9/2025

Dear Luma Residents,

As required by the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Regulations, high-rise residents are to receive two Fire/Life Safety Training session and participate in at least one fire drill per calendar year.

Resident Fire/Life Safety Training at 7:15PM-8:15PM on the Terrace

Emergency procedures training will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at 7:15 PM on the terrace.

If you’ve never attended a training session at Luma—or if it’s been a while and you’d like a refresher—please join us in person.

Fire Drill with Mandatory Evacuation 7/9/25 from 4:15PM-5:15PM

Please mark your calendar. There will be a fire drill on Wednesday, July 9th which will include alarms, announcements and mandatory evacuations.

During the fire drill, all fire alarms in the building will sound in sequence, including those in your unit and in the common areas. Strobe lights will flash, announcements will be broadcast over the public address system, and both the garage fire gates and fire doors in common areas will close.

Important Safety Notice:

Do not walk or drive under the garage fire gates during this procedure. These gates are designed to close rapidly and can cause serious bodily injury, death, or severe damage to veicles.

The garage fire gates are located overhead on each garage level at the entrance and exit points on the LUMA/ELLEVEN side of the garage.

Evacuation Procedure During Fire Drill

All residents, vendors, and guests—including commercial units and their customers—must exit the building and assemble in front of Starbucks at 11th and Grand Avenue.

Upon arrival, please sign your name and unit number on the sign-in sheet provided by staff and remain outside until the “All Clear” alert is given to reenter the building.

Please take special note:

The Fire Marshal may issue citations and monetary fines to anyone who fails to evacuate during the drill.

The fire alarms are very loud and may disturb infants, small children, and animals. Please plan accordingly.
