Water Supply Repair on 6/4/24 and 6/5/25

Dear Luma Residents,

LUMA HOA has contracted with South Coast Mechanical to repair the water supply system that directly affects floors 4-11. This repair will also affect floors 12-PH2. Floors 1 and 2 will not be affected.

This work will be completed over a two-day period. Beginning on Tuesday 6/4/2024 and finishing on Wednesday 6/5/2024.

This work is intended to improve the consistency of water temperatures being delivered to floors 4-11.

There are two phases involved in this repair work.

PHASE 1
At 3:00 am Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the water will be shut down to floors 4-PH2 and the work to repair the distribution system for both the hot and cold water will begin
There will be no water available on floors 4-PH2 at 3:00 am and by approximately 9:00 pm on 6/4/2024 we expect the water supply lines to be filled and have water available. It is most likely that hot water may not be available or consistent for all units.

During Phase 1 while the water is shut down, we are also replacing overhead water drain lines in the garage. It is extremely important not to use the water during the hours it is shut down. We do not want to allow air in the supply lines which will slow the recovery process and we don’t want sewage water flowing in the drain lines that are being replaced. This will flood the garage with sewage waste water.

PHASE 2
Wednesday, 6/5/2024 at 7:00 am, the water to floors 4-PH2 will be shut down and phase 2 work will begin. This work is expected to be completed and have water available sometime in the late evening.

Once the water is available, please be aware that it will take several days for the system to completely balance.

This work is a community effort. We thank you for assisting the HOA and all residents living at LUMA by not using the water during this critical work. As the work progresses, we will send out updates.
