Dear Luma Residents,  

Memorial Day Weekend Staffing and Contractors

On Monday, 5/27, there will be reduced staffing due to Memorial Day. Pool contractors will be working on Saturday, 5/25, and Monday, 5/27. On Saturday, there should be no noise as they are laying tile, and on Monday, minimal and low noise is expected as they continue tile installation. Additionally, on Saturday, 5/25, painters will be completing touch-ups in the corridors, which will not be invasive. Thank you for your understanding as we progress with these important projects.

6/4 and 6/5 Water Supply Repair

LUMA HOA has contracted South Coast Mechanical to refurbish the water supply system, affecting floors 4-11, with impacts extending to floors 12-PH2. The work will occur over two days: Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 3:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 7:00 AM to late evening, aiming to improve water temperature consistency. During the above-mentioned days and times, water will be shut down for floors 4-PH2. Simultaneously crews will be replacing a portion of the main sewage line in the garage.  It is crucial not to use the water to prevent air in the supply lines and sewage flooding in the garage.

Window and Building Wash Updates

The window washers will clean STACK 01 windows facing south, PH 102 balcony, and PH 201 windows on Tuesday, May 28th. Attached is an estimated schedule indicating cleaning dates for each stack based on unit numbers. Please note that cleaning dates may change due to unforeseen reasons. Daily updates will be posted in the mailroom and emailed for your convenience. See the attachments for more information.

Pool and Spa Deck Renovation Updates

The pool and spa renovations are ongoing, with anticipated completion in June. As we enter the ninth week of renovations next week, the pool and spa tile installation will continue. Minimal dust and debris are expected, with low and infrequent noise during the retiling process. The reopening date is subject to final inspection and approval by the LA Department of Public Health.

Terrace Furniture Restoration in Progress

They are working on the second half. Expect completion by the middle of June.  Note that there will be significantly fewer furniture pieces during this period.
