Dear Luma Residents,

Luma’s Spring Social at LA Live Recap

Fifty plus Luma residents attended last night’s social event at the Grammy Museum and Craft by Smoke + Fire restaurant at LA Live. Residents received a private tour of the Grammy Museum including the current tribute to Michael Jackson and his “Thriller” music as well as the history of American music and songwriters. Following the tour, residents walked around the corner for drinks and food at Craft. Smoked brisket, chicken, and lamb chops plus sides made for a full meal. Known for their cocktails, favorites were the La Chona with jalapeno infused tequila, the Lulu Lime Tangueray gin “martini,” and the Burn the Ships with lots of mixtures! Thanks to the Social Committee for a wonderful night with neighbors!!!

5/23 Window and Building Wash Begins

Luma HOA has hired Chamberlin Building Services, Inc. for our window and building wash, starting May 23, 2024 with an estimated completion date of June 27, 2024. The cleaning covers patio/balcony, balcony windows, and building exterior walls. Attached is an estimated schedule indicating cleaning dates for each stack based on unit numbers. Please note that cleaning dates may change due to unforeseen reasons. Daily updates will be posted in the mailroom and emailed for your convenience.

Pool and Spa Deck Renovation Updates

The pool and spa renovations are ongoing, with anticipated completion in June. As we enter the eighth week of renovations next week, the pool and spa tile installation will begin and is expected to last 1-2 weeks. Minimal dust and debris are expected, with low and infrequent noise during the retiling process. The reopening date is subject to final inspection and approval by the LA Department of Public Health.

Painting Project Updates

The painters are expected to complete the trash rooms today and the 3rd floor and basement elevator lobbies next week. While they are on your floor, please be mindful of trip hazards and ensure your pets are secure.

Terrace Furniture Restoration in Progress

The first half of the furniture has been returned and they are working on the second half. Expect completion by the middle of June.  Note that there will be significantly fewer furniture pieces during this period.
