11th St. Gate Instructions
Posted By flanglois on May 22, 2019
Dear Luma Residents,
The inductive loops are now active for the 11th street entry and exit gates. This means both gates will only open when a vehicle is present in the looped area and your garage gate opener is used simultaneously.
For the entry gate: This loop is located in line with the second planter closest to the gate. You can also stop approximately 6 feet from the gate. When entering the garage, you will need to stop in this area and then activate your garage gate opener. The gate will open and you can enter the garage. Please do not attempt to follow a vehicle thru the gate without going thru this process.
For the exit gate: This loop is in line with the two yellow pylons closest to the gate. You can also stop approximately 6 feet from the gate. When exiting the garage, you will need to stop in this area and then activate your garage gate opener. The gate will open and you can exit the garage. Please do not attempt to follow a vehicle thru the gate without going thru this process.
It is not necessary for both tires to be in the loop in order to activate it. Because the loops are electromagnetic, they are activated when the loop senses a large amount of metal. A car has more than enough metal to activate the loop.
Because a motorcycle’s metal composition can vary from brand to brand, some motorcycles may not have enough metal to activate the loop. If you experience an issue when using the 11th street garage gates, the 12 street (alley) gate can be activated with just your garage opener.
Thank you,
