Construction Noise
Dear Luma Residents,
We have noticed a slight increase in complaints regarding off hour construction noise from the surrounding construction sights. With limited exceptions the City of Los Angeles allows construction Monday through Friday between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays and National Holidays between the hours 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No construction work is allowed on Sundays without a specific permit for a specific operation.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is tasked with enforcing construction related noise complaints. This link http://www.lapdonline.org/special_operations_support_division/content_basic_view/1031 provides detailed information from LAPD’s website ( http://www.lapdonline.org/ ) regarding this topic.
If you hear what you believe to be construction related noise outside the permitted days and times you can call LAPD’s Noise Enforcement Team at (213) 996-1250 or LAPD’s non-emergency number 877-ASK-LAPD (877-275-5273) You can also call Luma’s Front Desk at 213-742-0387. We will in turn attempt to contact the work crews directly but past efforts have rendered mixed results so your best bet is to reach out to LAPD.
Bell Cart Usage Procedures
Dear Residents,
We are now parking the bell carts outside of the double doors on the 1st floor that lead to the garage when not in use. If you need to use one of the carts, please inform a front desk associate beforehand and when you are finished. Please return the cart to the same place on the 1st floor. Please do not bring the cart into the lobby. This should make access easy and, it will help preserve the lobby walls.
Thank you for your cooperation.

MyFig Update 1-8-18
This week’s MyFIG work is expected to be lighter, compared to previous weeks. At this time full block closures are NOT anticipated this week.
1/8 – 1/9: MONDAY & TUESDAY
Due to the rain, work is limited for both days. Any work occurring will be within the construction zone and behind the k-rail.
1/10 – 12: WEDNESDAY – FRIDAY
LADWP will be working 1/10 and 1/11, from 9A to 3:30P, at 2 specific locations: Flower/11th and Olive/11th. All work will take place behind the k-rail.
All American, MyFIG’s general contractor, will be focusing on completing pouring the remaining concrete along the north side, primarily to complete the sidewalk ramps. This work will be completed from Broadway to Flower.
Aldridge, MyFIG’s electrical sub, will be focusing on completing electrical work for traffic signals. This work will occur primarily at the intersection of Olive/11th. Aldridge will also be working on completing any additional electrical work needed on other blocks along 11th. This work includes conduit installation and foundation, as well as pulling wiring.
For all work mentioned above, there is potential for traffic lanes to be limited on north/southbound streets. This is due to most of the work occurring at the corners of intersections. The limited lanes will not impact regular access to buildings.
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to get you answers as soon as possible.
Please feel free to contact MyFIG directly:
