Dear Luma Residents,

Composting Bin in the Recycling Room (Updated Flyer) There is a new bin in the recycling room designated for composting. The bin is green and located against the East wall.  The bin is for: Coffee Grounds, Fruit, Bread, Fish, Meat, Vegetables, Dairy, and Tea Bags. Please see the attached flyer for quick reminder of what should go in each bin, composting, recycling, and landfill.    Please place your composting items inside a composting bag and seal it up BEFORE you deposit in the bin. The sealed bags will help control flies, while we wait for the container to be picked up by our waste hauler. You can purchase compostable bags at Target, Ralphs, and Hope Depot to name a few. Thank you!

Al Fresco & Expanded Outdoor Dining Survey In May 2020, the city introduced a new program, LA Al Fresco, to allow for expanded outdoor dining activities for qualifying food establishments. City Planning needs your help and feedback to transition to a new outdoor dining experience. Please take a moment to fill out the following survey and please spread the word so that all Angelenos can contribute to making our city the foremost destination for an outstanding outdoor dining experience! For the participant survey, click here. Disposing of trash If the trash chute is busy when you go to dump your rubbish, please wait a few seconds for it to clear and then deposit your trash in the chute. Besides being an inconvenience to your neighbors, leaving bags filled with trash on the floor of the rubbish rooms creates bad odors.  We don’t have staff to clear the trash rooms multiple times per day so each resident is responsible for their own trash disposal. If you need assistance with discarding large items or unwanted furniture, please contact the front desk and we can assist you with the arrangements, thank you!

Thank you and have a great weekend!
