Community Updates for 4/26/2024
Dear Luma Residents,
Pool and Spa Deck Renovation Updates
The pool and spa are currently undergoing renovations, with an anticipated completion date of June 16th. As we enter the fifth week of renovations next week, we anticipate grinding and dust until Wednesday May 1st. Afterward, minimal noise and dust are expected as new tiles are installed. The reopening date is subject to final inspection and approval by the LA Department of Public Health.
Painting Project Updates
The painters are finishing work on the 8th floor today and will begin work on the 7th floor on Monday April 29th and then the 6th floor on Wednesday, May 1st. While they are on your floor, please be mindful of trip hazards and ensure your pets are secure. Also, door frames will be painted, so use caution to avoid bumping into wet paint and remember to check your shoes before entering your unit to avoid tracking paint. The most up-to-date schedule will be displayed in the elevators, and signage will be posted on your floor a few days before the start date.
Terrace Furniture Restoration in Progress
The first half of the furniture was returned to the contractor for not meeting the standard, delaying the start of work on the second half. Expect completion in approximately six weeks once the second half is pickup. Note that there will be significantly fewer furniture pieces during this period.
Sharing the Terrace with Mosquitos
Now that it’s getting warmer out and you may be inclined to use the terrace for dinners and BBQs, it’s essential to note that the summer season is also mosquito season. We employ a professional pest control service to treat mosquitoes, and our staff also treats standing water to repel mosquitoes. If you’re outdoors, we strongly advice you bring mosquito repellent for added protection.
4/27 Farmer Market & Coffee with a Cop
This Saturday, April 27th, South Park BID is hosting free face painting and balloon twisting for kids from 12-2PM at the South Park Farmers Market. Bring out the whole family and enjoy the market plus all the activities!
5/1 Lego Night at AudioGraph Beer

5/16 Save the Date for Luma’s Spring Social
Luma’s Social Committee presents a private tour of the Grammy Museum from 6-7 pm, followed by appetizers and drinks at Craft by Smoke and Fire at LA Live for you and your neighbors. Save the date for May 16th! As the date draws closer, the Social Committee will be sending out information on how to RSVP in a separate e-blast.
