Please RSVP to the South Park BID District Identity & Marketing Committee (DISI), a Board sub-committee open to the public that provides guidance to the full Board of Directors on the strategic communications and marketing efforts to promote the South Park BID.

This committee is open to the public, and meets on the 2nd Wednesday of odd months.

Caviar is planning to films scenes of Powerslide at Hope St. from Olympic to 12th St.

Proposed dates:
Saturday, July 16, 2016

Hours:
7:00am – 10:00pm

Description of scenes and parking:
Proposed FULL CLOSURE (to thru traffic only all who live/work within closure area will have access) on July 16, 2016 from 7am – 10pm on Hope from Olympic to 12th St. Activity: Exterior dialogue, exterior establishing shots, drive up/by/away, precision driving, wet down, cameras/equipment on the sidewalk/curb/lane/across the street and 2-minute intermittent traffic/pedestrian control. Proposed posted “NO PARKING” July 16, 2016 from 7am – 10pm on both sides of Hope from 11th going North for 400’ and South for 400’ and both sides of 11th St. from Hope going East for 150’ and West for 150’.

Street Closure Alert – VP Joe Biden & ESPY

Dear Luma Residents –

Please be aware that Vice President Joe Biden will be attending the ESPY Awards tonight at LA Live. As you are already aware with his attendance comes the closures of streets impacting our daily commutes in the area.

What we know as of now:

  • from 4:00 pm to 5:30 p.m., the area around Imperial Highway between Vista Del Mar and Sepulveda Boulevard, and the area around Figueroa and Flower streets between Third Street and Wilshire Boulevard;
  • from 6:00 pm to 7:30 p.m., the area around Flower Street between Fourth Street and Venice Boulevard, the area around Pico Boulevard between Hope Street and the Harbor (110) Freeway, and the area around L.A. Live Way between Pico and Olympic boulevards; and
  • from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the area around Chick Hearn Court between the 110 Freeway and Figueroa, and the area around Imperial Highway between Vista Del Mar and Sepulveda.

A portion of Fourth Street will be closed between Figueroa and Flower streets on the north side of the Westin Bonaventure hotel between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

As you are all aware these streets could be closed earlier and for longer than expected at a moments’ notice, please prepare to avoid these areas if at all possible.

Comments About the LA Streetcar?

The City of Los Angeles prepared a draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Los Angeles Streetcar. It is available for public review and comment until August 8, 2016.

To provide the public with an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the draft EIR, a public hearing will be held:

Tuesday, July 12, 2016, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Ronald F. Deaton Civic Auditorium (LAPD Headquarters)
100 W. 1st Street, Los Angeles 90012

Still shots of picture car in street; traffic control; camera in street; wet downs. “POST NO PARKING” on both sides of 11th between Grand and Flower. Both sides of Hope between Olympic and 11th. Lane Closure on the Westside curb lane and 1 adjacent lane on Hope between Olympic and 11th.
