Domestic Water Pumps Emergency Power Conversion
Water Shut Down / Power Conversion |
Next week, on Thursday, 5/16/2024, the domestic water supply pumps, which provide the building with water for floors 4-PH2 , will be converted from normal power operation only to emergency power operational capabilities as well. This shut down will not affect floors 1 and 2. This work will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, 5/16/2024. At that time, the power for the pumps will be shut off while the transfer is made. No water will be available during this shutdown, which is expected to last 30–60 minutes. It is important that while the pumps are shut down, the water in the building is not used. We want to keep as much water in the system as possible. This will help the system balance itself in a shorter time when the pumps are brought back on. This will require everyone’s cooperation. What does this mean for the occupants of the building? This means that during a power outage, the domestic water pumps will continue to be operational, and the building water supply will remain available. With the pumps still running on emergency power, the water supply system will remain full, and the supply lines will still deliver water. There should no longer be any issues with air entering the system due to the pumps being off, which has caused major issues in bringing the system back into balance in the past. Once the power outage is over, the pumps will transfer automatically back to normal power operation. |
