Area Construction Update

Dear Residents,

Just wanted to let everyone know that the gas company will be out next week purging the system at AVEN, 1120 S. Grand Ave. There may be a gas odor in the air that residents might take note of. They should not be alarmed as this is typical and not dangerous. This will be happening from 10/22 through 10/26.

Health Alert – Flea-borne Typhus

Dear Residents,

Please read the attached link by the LA County Department of Public Health –

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) is investigating an outbreak involving several cases of flea-borne typhus in downtown Los Angeles and is working with the city of Los Angeles to implement environmental safety measures to reduce the spread of the disease. Protect yourselves and your pets.

Lobby Improvement Update

Dear Residents,

Please be careful when traveling in the lobby area as there may be cords, ladders and other obstacles, dust, etc. in the vicinity of this work. If you can, please try and avoid these areas. Call the Front Desk if you require reasonable accommodations. We will keep you updated on the process as we know more.

Wednesday, October 17th, Lobby Dividers – Start at 9:00AM. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the installation date was changed from last week. Install the two lobby dividers. There will be fabricating on-site of the feet and headers, there will be drilling into the floor. Delivery of the dividers will be occurring through the front doors around 9AM so please plan accordingly. Some electrical work may also be done.

Please also use caution when traversing the lobby, mailroom, 1st floor parking structure, front entry, South alley, 1st floor elevator and basement elevator vestibules during this remodeling project. There may be occasional loud noises, extension cords, tools, ladders, rough or uneven surfaces, dust and various construction type particulates in the construction zones. We ask you use caution when in close proximity of these areas.

Please let Management know if you require any reasonable accommodations during this process. Our Designer and their contractors will make all reasonable efforts to ensure ease of use of the lobby and other common areas but some inconveniences, areas closed off as noted above and/or delays are inevitable. We ask for your understanding and to certainly let us know if there are reasonable steps we can take to make this process easier for you and your guests. We have always been, and will always be, open to helpful suggestions.
