COVID-19 Updates

Posted By on April 6, 2020

Dear Luma Residents,

Because the next few weeks are going to be critically important, please review below reminders:

Masks: Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti urges residents to cover their faces in public, but do not use surgical and N95 masks, which are reserved for first responders and medical workers. The CDC now recommends people wear cloth masks to block the spread of COVID-19.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html

Guests: We strongly advise no non-essential guests be brought to the building.

Realtors: We ask that ALL listing agents provide Virtual Tours. Please do not conduct any on-site showings. Owners, please inform your listing agents of this protocol.

Lobby/Entryway: If you have been outside and exercising, we ask that before you come back into the lobby, you stay outside until you are not breathing heavy. Heavy breathing will increase particulates and could increase exposure to you and others.

Common Area Spaces/Surfaces: Luma’s Janitorial Staff continues to wipe down common area surfaces regularly. Residents are able to activate the automatic door by simply swiping their FOB and pressing the silver plate adjacent to the FOB reader. To eliminate directly touching the elevator buttons, you can press the button with your FOB. Please remember not to press too hard.

Neighbor Awareness & Consideration:
Management has received an increase in noise complaints within the past couple of weeks. This is likely due to more people staying home. We request residents be considerate when playing music, working out, or working on their homes during the day and in the evening. Many people are now having to work from their homes. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. Please let us know if you have any questions.

#DTLAAPPLAUSE: Clap Outside your window at 8PM during the month April. Join other downtown residents to show your support for healthcare workers and first responders.

Local Restaurants, Food and other Services Open:
Barcito is open between 3PM and 8PM daily for take-out and delivery. Please visit their website at Barcitola.com for details. For a list of other local restaurants who are open for take-out and/or delivery, please see the attachment. The South Park Business Improvement District (SPBID)also has a listing of local businesses, restaurants and other resources that are open and available to dtla residents during this unique time.
